If you are looking for online Quran classes, one of the first questions is: how much should I expect to pay? Prices vary a lot, and it is not always clear what you get for your money.
Here is a simple guide.
The short answer
For one-to-one classes of 30 minutes, most online Quran academies teaching families in the UK and USA charge roughly:
- 2 classes a week: about $30 to $45 a month
- 3 classes a week: about $40 to $70 a month
- 5 classes a week: about $60 to $90 a month
These ranges come from the price pages of several online Quran academies that we checked in October 2026. Some academies charge more, and prices change over time, so always check the academy's own page.
What changes the price
- Classes per week. More classes cost more each month, but often a little less per lesson.
- Class length. Most classes are 30 minutes. Longer classes, often used for Hifz, cost more.
- One-to-one or group. Group classes are cheaper, but the teacher cannot correct every student's reading in the same way.
- The teacher's experience. Very experienced or specialist teachers sometimes charge more.
What to watch out for
- Paying for months upfront before you have tried a class
- Registration fees that are not shown on the price page
- Long contracts that are hard to cancel
- Unclear rules about missed classes and refunds
Before you pay, ask for a free trial class and read the cancellation policy.
