Course outline
How Hifz works with us
Memorising and revising go together from the first day, so what is learned stays.
Reading check first
Hifz starts once the student reads fluently with correct makharij.
A daily new lesson
A small new portion, memorised and recited to the teacher.
Revising recent lessons
The last few lessons recited again so they settle.
Revising older portions
Earlier parts revisited on a regular cycle.
Short surahs first
Many students begin with shorter surahs before longer ones.
Checkpoints
Regular recitation checks before moving on.
Lifelong revision
A revision plan that continues after Hifz is complete.
By the end of the course
What students can usually do
Recite from memory
The portions memorised, with correct makharij.
Keep what is learned
Revision is built into every week.
Steady progress
A clear daily plan, checked by the teacher.
